The Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders were on the march in their rematch with Andrew Jackson Academy Jan. 22 in Eharhardt.
Fueled by a balanced offensive attack, the Raiders disarmed the Confederates by a score of 53-41.
With the win, Jefferson Davis Academy improves to 5-2 in region play. The Raiders also swept the season series over the Confederates.
"I thought everything went pretty well for us tonight," JDA coach Jack Gibson said. "Defensively, we kept them off the boards. Offensively, we made most of our layups and did a very good job with our second shot opportunities."
In the game, the Raiders clamped down on the Confederates early and often by distributing their offense.
Offensively for the Raiders, Trent Garvin, Will Gee, Jarrett Davis and Caleb Bearden all scored in double digits.
The foursome spearheaded a quick 12-8 run in the second quarter that put the Raiders ahead 24-18 at halftime.
From that point on, the Raiders controlled the tempo, outscoring the Confederates 29-23 in the second half.
Will Gee was the floor general for the Raiders. Gee finished with a game high 12 assists, 12 points and five steals.
Garvin had a solid game with 12 points, six steals, two assists and five rebounds. Bearden, who scored 10 points, led the team with 11 rebounds. Davis had one of his best games of the season with 10 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Other providing offensive support included Mckenzie Webster with five points. Cameron Polston had four points and Noah Bearden added two points, six steals and five rebounds.
