Daughter reportedly drains sick father's bank account - An Olar woman is charged with stealing more than $150,000 from her sick father's bank account.
Sharon B. Morris, 51, of 16696 Low Country Hwy., Olar, was arrested Aug. 5 by Barnwell police and charged with abuse/exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
A police report alleges Morris was staying with her father, who was battling cancer, when she "manipulated" him into adding her name as a signatory on his account to "pay bills." Between May and June she is accused of withdrawing $162,000 and putting it into a her account.
She was released to the Barnwell County Detention Center.
King accused of threatening officer - A Blackville man is accused of threatening Williston officers as they transported him to jail.
Deondre Lamont King, 20, was arrested Aug. 11 on a warrant for first degree burglary. That's when the incident report states King said, "Take the cuffs off and I'll kill y'all."
The burglary charge stems from a July 3 dispute with his mother where King allegedly threatened her and "trashed" her house, states the report.
He was released to the Barnwell County Detention Center.
