Glenda Bell Rutland Martin
Funeral service was held Feb. 6 at Elko Baptist Church with burial at Barnwell Memorial Park Cemetery by the airport. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Martin was born in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of Nadine Richardson Bell and the late Colie Bell. She retired from Milliken Corp. as a lab analyst and retired from Ness Motley Loadholt Richardson and Poole Law Firm as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Elko Baptist Church where she was a member and former teacher of the Clara Hitt Sunday School class and was a member and past president of the WMU. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Quincy Rutland, Sr.; and a daughter Audrey Rutland Webster.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Martin of the home; one daughter, Gloria Rutland (Ryan) Guest of Barnwell; one son, Harold Quincy "Hal" Rutland, Jr. of Barnwell; one step-daughter, Karen Martin (Andy) Turner of Aiken; one step-son, Bruce Alan Martin and fiancé Dana Jones of Aiken; her mother of Williston; two sisters, June Bell Jamison of Suffolk, Va. and Sandra Bell Campbell of DeSoto, Texas; one brother, Gary (Barbara) Bell of Williston; 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
