Curtis Mack

Curtis Mack, 50, died Feb. 10, 2009 at the Regional Medical Centers of Orangeburg.

Funeral service was held Feb. 14 at Macedonia Baptist Church of Blackville with the Rev. Floyd Hughes Sr. officiating. Burial was in the Blackville Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home of Allendale was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Mack was born Sept. 17, 1958 in Barnwell County. He was the son of the late Filmore Sr. and Mildred Lloyd Mack. He was employed with the Blackville Public School District No. 19. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Harriett Johnson Mack; one daughter, Lacy M. Mack; three brothers, Leon Mack, Nathaniel Mack and Kenneth (Catherine) Mack, all of Blackville; three sisters, Anna B. Abner of Augusta, Ga., Shirley A. Young of Orlando, Fla. and Betty Horne of Chester, Va.; one aunt; five sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Cohen, Sylvia (Curtis) Dunbar, Patsy Johnson and Evon Johnson, all of Allendale and Diane (Carl) Cook of Hampton; a loving sister-in-law, Mary Mack of Hempstead, N. Y.; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Devoe, Edward Johnson and Leroy Youmans, all of Allendale; a devoted friend, Michelle Johnson of Denmark; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
