She will be truly missed. Heaven has gained a beautiful peacock. She will always be remembered for her love, wisdom, humor, cheerfulness; along with taking in all stray children, while teaching them about life, work, morals, and etiquette. A true and grand southern lady. These words were written by one of the many children she took under her wing, Tina Smith.
She is survived by sons, Joseph A. (Bonnie) Frakes, Robert E. (Irma) Frakes, and Stephen L. (Debbie) Frakes; daughter, Linda S. (Dennis) Conrad; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; step children, Yvonne (Hank) Welch, Karon Haskell, Stacia (Charles) Hill, Tammy Haskell, and many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard L. Haskell; daughters, Joanne C. Frakes and Lynne Calais; a grandson Andy Picton; and great-grandson, Jacob Frakes.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cumberland Village family and ladies of Right At Home.
