Freddie B. McKerley (Elko)

Funeral services for Freddie Buist McKerley Jr., 70, of Elko, will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston; burial will be at the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, at Folk Funeral Home in Williston. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given in Freddie’s memory to the Williston United Methodist Church, 6030 Springfield Rd., Williston, SC 29853 or the Williston Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853.

Freddie passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 with his family by his side.

Born in Columbia and a lifelong resident of Williston – Elko, he was the son of the late Freddie B. McKerley Sr. and Grace Jenny McKerley. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served as a Military Police in Germany. He was a member of the Williston United Methodist Church. Freddie retired as a service technician from AT&T where he proudly served as president of the CWA Local #3719. He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan, an IPTAY member and a season ticket holder since 1969.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tina Holcomb McKerley of the home; daughter, Katherine McKerley Mead and her husband Tony of Beaufort; two sons, Jason A. McKerley and his wife Laura of Waynesboro, Ga. and Trey Ramsey and his wife Julie of Summerville; his grandson, Gunner Howard McKerley; a granddaughter, Reagan Renee Ramsey; and several cousins and other family members.
