Narvia L. Moore (Barnwell)

Mrs. Narvia L. Moore, aka “Narvia Lee”, age 70, was born on November 27, 1946, in Barnwell to the late Julia Tilley and the late Archie Kennedy but reared by the late George and Florence Dunbar.

Seeking God’s direction and guidance, she joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Barnwell where she was on the kitchen committee, Trustee Board, and sang in the Choir. She was also a member of the Green Branch Benevolent Christian Society, and the Barnwell/Kline County Family and Community Leaders Club for over 40 years.

She received her education at the Butler High School in Barnwell and worked at the Barnwell Pallet Company for over 20 years.

“Narvia Lee”, as she was affectionately known, will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends, and she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. 

She was married to the late Harry L. Moore IV.

Our Heavenly Father called her from labor to reward on August 17, 2017, at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, two daughters, Sabrina Moore of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Tammie Moore of Covington, Ga.; one son, Jermaine Moore of Barnwell; one sister, Bernice Peeples of Barnwell; one brother, Harry Felder of Barnwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.

The funeral service was held 11 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Barnwell with words of comfort by Rev. Anthony Carter. The burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery in Barnwell.
