Doris Shirah (Blackville)
A graveside funeral service for Doris Zeigler Shirah, 86, of Blackville, will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Blackville Cemetery with the Reverends Tommy Hutto and Tom Polk officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Folk Funeral Home, Williston.
Mrs. Shirah passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Jennings Bryan Zeigler and Eula Driggers Zeigler. She was first married to the late Russell W. Barnes and was the widow of Jesse W. Shirah. She was a homemaker and attended Jones Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church, Walterboro, and Faith Chapel in Blackville.
Survivors include sisters, Gloria Still and Joan Fail; grandchildren, Monica Linder, Misty Linder (George), Brandon (Karla) Linder, Mandy (Reverend Tom) Polk, Wes (Whitney) West; great-grandchildren, Joshua Linder, Godwin Linder, Violet Linder-Rivera and Burkhart West; and a sister-in-law, Jenny Zeigler. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Barnes; brothers, Joe Zeigler, J.B. Zeigler Jr., Red Zeigler; sister, Ruby Hutto; and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Polk. The family would like to thank Deborah/Matt/Dawn and Herman for all of the help and support shown to Mrs. Doris over the previous months.
