Henry Creech (Barnwell)

Henry Creech was born to the late Romie and Irene Creech on November 30, 1940 in Barnwell.

After graduating high school, he moved to Bronx, N.Y. He lived in Queens, N.Y. before retiring to South Carolina. It was in the Bronx where he met and married the beautiful RosaBell. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Rose and Sandy Creech.

Henry passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Aiken.

Early in his career, Henry was stationed in Long Island, N.Y. where he served in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for a major N.Y. bank and the N.Y. school system, a job he thoroughly enjoyed and retired from after working for many years. Henry enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his daughters and granddaughters and engaging in the ministry. He then made plans to move back to Barnwell to assist in caring for his mother until her passing.

Henry was a loyal and humble servant of our Heavenly Father Jehovah God for over 40 years at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed talking to others about him. He was loved by all who knew him, but it was his children, grandchildren and other young ones around him that brought him some of his greatest joy; everyone that knew Henry knew that he loved children! He loved to laugh, tell a good joke, and always enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was truly one of a kind.

He leaves cherish the precious memory of his wife, RoseBell Creech of Bronx, N.Y.; daughters, Rose Creech of Irvington, N.J. and Sandy Creech of Bronx, N.Y.; three brothers, Romie (Gertrude) Creech Jr. of Columbia, Lewis (Deborah) Creech of Allendale, and Burnell (Wanda) Creech of Barnwell; three sisters, Juanita Johnson of Columbia, Elease Myers of Barnwell, and Barbara Jenkins of Titusville, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kaila Creech and Karisma Barner of Irvington, N.J.; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended spiritual family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (2757 S.C. Hwy. 70, Barnwell) with Brother Carl Adams officiating.
