John C. Bell (Williston)
Funeral services for John Colie “Buckshot” Bell, 42, of Williston, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with burial at the Williston Cemetery with U.S. Marines Military Honors accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
“Buckshot” passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
Born in Aiken County, he was a son of Rebecca Keel Pender and the late John Edwin “Bubba” Bell. “Buckshot” served in the U.S. Marines, where he received a National Defense Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge and was awarded numerous additional medals, badges and ribbons; he loved serving his country and he loved the Marines.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda “Mandy” Jones Bell of the home; mother and step-father, Becky and Steen Pender of Barnwell; step-daughters, Kathryn Willis and Allyson Hall-Jones of Columbia; step-son, Nicholas Amick of Columbia; step-sisters, Mindy P. (Mark) Steedley of North Augusta, Kristie P. McCloskey of Simpsonville; step-niece, Shaye McCloskey, step-nephew, Ian McCloskey, aunts, Joan Bell (Richard) McKinney of Augusta, Ga., Alta (Reed) Swann of Barnwell; uncles, Richard (Michelle) Keel of Columbia, Joe (Sherry) Keel of Augusta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bubba Bell; his sister, Jennifer Grace Bell; his grandparents, James and Eleanor Keel and Johnny Bell.
