Billy Lamar Thomas, 58, died June 21,2009 at the Providence Hospital, Columbia, SC.
Funeral service was held June 24 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jule Young officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Thomas was born July 16,1950 in Ridgeland. He was the son of Billy A and Susie Russell Thomas. He worked for 15 years as a maintenance engineer with Shuron Inc., was a retired supervisor with the Savannah River Site and a farmer. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fairfax.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Croft Thomas of Barnwell; one daughter, Crystal (Ricky) Alley of Barnwell; two sons, Kevin Lamar (Patricia) Thomas of Loretto Tenn. and Justin Ashley (Dorothy Jean) Thomas of Barnwell; his parents of Fairfax; one brother, Michael Thomas of Columbia; two sisters, Gail Williamson of Charleston and Terri Veletto of Columbia and seven grandchildren.
