Cecile V. Robinson, 85, of Barnwell, died Sept. 6, 2009 at the Low Country Assisted Living Home in Ehrhardt.
Funeral service was held Sept. 13 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Barnwell. Burial was in the Hope Memorial Park, Inc., Barnwell. Lebby Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Robinson was born Nov. 8, 1923 in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late Rivers and Mary Alice Mitchell Duncan. She was married to the late William A. Robinson. She was predeceased by three siblings, Ruby, Charles and David. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Barnwell, serving on the usher board, the trustee board and the hospitality and program committees. She operated Cecil's Beauty Box and retired in 2008.
Survivors include two sisters, Equella Mabrey and Debra Bellinger of Barnwell; two brothers, Benjamin Duncan of Barnwell and Joseph (Marianne) Duncan of Aiken; one step-daughter, Ada Cheryl (Walter) Chappel of Barnwell; one stepson, William A. (Nancy) Robinson Jr. of N. Haledon, N. J. and four grandchildren.
