Dr. Augustus Massebeau Boland Jr., 61, of Blackville, died Dec. 2, 2009.
Graveside service was held Dec. 4 at the Springfield Cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Dr. Boland was born in Columbia. He was the son of the late Augustus Massebeau and Lillian Boatwright Boland Sr. He was owner/operator of the dental practice, A. M. Boland Jr., DMD, in Barnwell. He was an Army veteran and a member of Springfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Myrick Boland of the home; two daughters, Mish B. (John) Nichols of Charlotte, N. C. and Lillian M. Boland of Columbia; one sister, Louise B. (Dr. John R.) Ross of Springfield; one brother, Bobby Boland of Camden and three grandchildren.

gus will be missed
I am so sorry to hear about Gus Boland. He was a wonderful person. He was so good to my parents and I will never forget him for that. My sympathy goes out to Rosa. I miss you Rosa!
