Eddie Weathersbee Jr.
Eddie "Edison" Weathersbee Jr., 69, died Dec. 13, 2009.
Funeral service was held Dec. 20 at Forest Level Baptist Church, Forest, Va. with John Wilder and the Rev. Terry Echols officiating. Burial was in the Great Cypress Baptist Church cemetery, Barnwell. The Lebby Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Weathersbee was born Jan. 8, 1940 in Barnwell County. He was the son of the late Eddie and Catherine Weathersbee. He was employed by the East Orange, N. J., Board of Education for 26 years. He found leadership and fellowship at Forest Level Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Ann Weathersbee; one son, Edward Weathersbee; one stepdaughter, Karen Crute; two sisters, Emma Myers of Barnwell and Dora Bush of East Orange, N. J.; devoted aunts, Alma Fredrick and Hattie Gibson; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
