Ernest Ridgeway, 64, of Barnwell, died Feb. 4, 2010 at the Barnwell County Hospital.
Funeral service was held Feb. 6 at Mole Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Romie Martin officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road, Barnwell. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Ridgeway was born Feb. 17, 1945 in Alcolu. He was the son of the late James I. and Ida Wood Ridgeway. He was an Air Force veteran and retired from Roc-Lon Inc. of Bamberg. He was predeceased by three brothers, James, Joe and Charles Ridgeway.
Survivors include his wife, Rhea Smoot Ridgeway of Barnwell; four sons, Doug (Shelly) Ridgeway of Barnwell, Keith (Ruth Anne) Ridgeway of Aiken, Mike (Angie) Ridgeway of Barnwell and Cory (Pam) Ridgeway of Cedar Mountain, N. C.; three sisters, Evelyn (Bethea) Roberson of Summerton, Jeanette (Jimmy) Flanigan of Williston and Annette Barnette of Charleston; three brothers, Bob Ridgeway of Santee, Jack (Emma) Ridgeway of Aiken and Arnold (Carol) Ridgeway of Lincolnton, Ga. and 11 grandchildren.
