George Edwin ‘Buck’ Salter Sr.
George Edwin “Buck” Salter Sr., 64, of Barnwell, died May 13, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral service is private and will be held at a later date. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Salter was born Oct. 9, 1945 in Millen, Ga. He was the son of the late James R. and Luereather Crews Salter. He was a retired sales representative for Brecht Pacific Publishing Co. He served in the US Navy Seebees during the Viet Nam Era. He was a Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Wilson Salter of Barnwell; two sons, Edwin Salter of Ft. Meyers Fla. and Chris Salter of Charleston; one brother, James Earl Salter Jr. of Augusta Ga.; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
