Glenda Floyd Smart

Glenda Floyd Smart, 70, of Spartanburg, died June 27.
A memorial service was held June 30 at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Luther H. Rickenbaker, III presiding. Dunbar Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Smart was born Aug. 10, 1938 in Mullens. She was the daughter of Ernestine Harralson Floyd of Smyrna, Ga. and the late Kenneth Floyd. She was active in the Arts Council of Spartanburg County having served as president on two terms. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. William Earl and Glenda Floyd Smart previously lived in Barnwell County.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William Earl Smart; three children, Gregg (Kathy) Smart of Chatham, N.J., Camille (Clint) Lemon of Charleston and Stephanie (John) Buppert of Gilbert, Ariz.;her mother; one sister, Sabra Young of Kennesaw, Ga.; one brother, Mike Floyd of Marietta, Ga. and five grandchildren.
In memory of Mrs. Smart, memorial contributions may be expressed to the Central United Methodist Church building fund, 233 N. Church St, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
