Ken W. Wood, 59, died Aug. 29, 2009 at MCG, Augusta, Ga.
Funeral service was held Sept. 1 at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel, Barnwell, with the Rev. Thomas Terry officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd., Barnwell. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Wood was born Oct. 1, 1949 in Fayetteville Ark. He was the son of Burcille Cupp Wood and the late Charles E. Wood Sr. He retired from SRS as a rigger with 35 years service. He was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Daphne Crawley Wood of Blackville; one son, Jeffrey (Kelley) Wood of Irma; his mother of Dunlap Tenn.; two brothers, Charles E. (Judy) Wood of Dayton, Tenn. and Joe (Susan) Wood of Jackson, Ga.; two sisters, Alice (Jim) Wyatt of Dunlap, Tenn. and Penelope (Mike) Durham of Holt Fla. and one grandchild.
