Lillian Corley Hill

Lillie Corley Hill, 79, of Blackville, died Oct. 1, 2009 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken.
Funeral service was held Oct. 8 at the Blackville-Hilda High School auditorium, Blackville, with the Rev. Joseph Williams and Ministers Anthony Corley and Joe Jackson and Elder John Corley officiating. Burial was in the Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell. Dash's Funeral Home of Blackville was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hill was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late Monroe Corley and Geraldine Coker Corley. She was employed at St. Luke Hospital in New York, N. Y., where she worked as a supervisor for 45 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of Frost Branch Baptist Church. She was predeceased by three siblings, Mary Etta Reed, Eugene Kirkland and Mike Kirkland. Her brother, Pat Kirkland, passed away on Oct. 3, 2009, two days after Lillie's passing.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Thomas J. Hill of New York, N. Y.; four daughters, Gerald Ann (Jerry) Creech of Williston, Mildred Corley of New York, N. Y., Lucille Corley of Blackville and Carol D. Hill of New York, N. Y.; three sons, Herman (Evelyn) Thomas and Frank Corley, both of Blackville and Derrick A. Hill of New York, N. Y.; one sister, Elmina Corley of Blackville; two brothers, Joe Morris of Columbia and Charles Bosier of Blackville; five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; an adopted son, Allen Harrison; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
