Lois Renew Carson, 87, died June 19, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral service was held June 22 in the Mole Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Carson was born on March 23, 1923 in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Carrie Beasley Renew. She was the widow of E.J. Carson II. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and a retired employee of Shuron Inc. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Carson Carroll and brothers, Wallace, Willie, Bobby, Ernest David (Tooney) and William (Bubba) Renew.
Survivors include one son, E.J. Carson III of Barnwell; one son-in-law, Henry Carroll of Barnwell; one sister, Marlene (Carlisle) Holden of Barnwell; two brothers, Shellie Renew and Odell (Betty) Renew of Barnwell; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
