Loraine Rose Lee, 87, of Barnwell, died June 1, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service was held June 4 at the Barnwell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joey McDonald officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell.
Mrs. Lee was born April 1, 1922 in Grahn, Ken. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Missouri Walker Rose. She was the widow of Charles Edward Lee. She was a former resident of Middletown, Ohio. In 1993 she moved to Barnwell to be with her daughter and family. She was a member of the Barnwell United Methodist Church and the DAV. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gladys Craig, Evelyn Lowe, Mae Curtis, Jewel Rose, Aileen Boggs, Roy Rose, Emil Rose, Uhlan Rose and Bill Rose.
Memorials may be made to the Ashleigh Place Mission Fund of the Barnwell United Methodist Church or the Scholarship fund of the Barnwell United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam (Cal) Hoffman of Barnwell; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
