Margaret Joanne Baxley
Margaret Joanne Baxley, 67, died June 16, 2010 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
Funeral services were held June 19, 2010 at Hagood Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Cato and the Rev. Ted Still officiating. Burial followed in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Dyches Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Baxley was born in Barnwell County and she was the daughter of the late James Louie Rutland and Zadie Wall Rutland.
She was a member of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 43 years. Mrs. Baxley was a retired teacher's assistant and a member of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Baxley of the home; three daughters, Donna (Bill) Dixon, Teresa (Andy) Hogg and Dana Williams, all of Barnwell; six grandchildren, Stephanie Dixon, Malory Hogg, Andi Hogg, Cassie Williams, all of Barnwell, Heather (Tim) Dooley of Williston, and Cohen (Tiffany) Williams of New Mexico. She was predeceased by three brothers, Preston, Quincy and Douglas Rutland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hagood Avenue Baptist Church.
