Marion Maurice Grubbs, 77, died Nov. 11, 2009.

Mr. Grubbs was born Oct. 11, 1932 in Barnwell County. He was the son of the late Dillon and Annie Lou Baxley Grubbs. He was a retired mechanic and a minister.

Graveside service was held Nov. 14 in the Lighthouse Gospel Mission Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Creel officiating. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Williams Grubbs; his brothers, Bill Grubbs and Marvin Grubbs.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Pinkerman Grubbs of Barnwell; two brothers, Jimmy Grubbs of Blackville and Gerald Grubbs of Barnwell.
