Mary Doby Dunbar, 77, died June 9, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral service was held June 16 at Fair Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. John Robinson and Ted Bellinger officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Lebby Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Dunbar was born Aug. 4, 1932 in Williston. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lily Mae Jones Doby. She worked various jobs to support her family. Her last known occupation was at the Barnwell High School District No. 45. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Gean Dunbar. She joined the Cannan Fair CME Church in Williston.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Dunbar of the home and Jonas Dunbar of Florida; one daughter, Mildred (Andy) Brown of Barnwell; one brother, Lang Jones Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
