McGee "Mac" Bodiford, 60, of Barnwell, died Dec. 29, 2009.
Funeral service was held Jan. 1, 2010 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with burial in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bodiford was born in Barnwell County. He was the son of Elma Ruth Ayer Bodiford and the late McLaurin "Mack" Bodiford. He was a navy veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict. He was retired from the Savannah River Site. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. He was owner of Metal Art and Collectibles. He was preceded in death by a nephew Barry Lain.
Survivors include his wife Alma Hutto Bodiford of the home; one daughter, Kathy B. (Robert) Fox of Williston; four sisters, Sybile (Russell) Lain, Nellie Rosier, Arie (Bill) Murphy, all of Barnwell and Dianne (Bill) Barber of Boone, N.C.; five brothers, Jacky Bodiford of Barnwell, James (Faye) Bodiford of Lexington, Ray (Peggy) Bodiford of Long Branch, Donnie Bodiford of North and Roy Bodiford of Siler City, N.C.; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
