Michael Dean Arowood, 53, of Williston, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at the Chapel of George Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating was Rev. Floyd Dukes. Burial followed in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Arowood was the son of the late Jesse Lee and Alice Brown Arowood. Michael worked in construction and for many years worked with his brother as a meat cutter at Tommy’s Market in Augusta, Ga. He loved cooking for his kids and working on cars. Michael was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.
Surviving are his loving wife, Debbie Green Arowood of the home; sons, Sgt. Travis Ray Green of Katy, Texas, Hunter Dean Arowood and Michael Lee Arowood of Williston; a brother, Gary Arowood, of Augusta, Ga.; sisters, Susan (Andy) Chapman of Beech Island and Rose (Kevin) Hutto of White Pond; nephews, Samuel Chapman and Daniel Hutto and nieces, Rebekah, Maggie and Joy Chapman and Alice Hutto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210-1790.
