Ricky Dean Messex

Ricky Dean Messex, 51, of Barnwell, died Feb. 14, 2010 at the Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral service was held today, Feb. 17 at the Hilda First Bapt5ist Church with the Revs. Gerry Williams and Cliff Creech officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Messex was born Oct. 13, 1958 in Millen, Ga. He was the son of the late Johnny and Lillian Hurst Messex. He was a chemical operator at Clairant, Inc. He was a member of the Gold Wing Association, Aiken Chapter and a former member of the Georgia National Guard. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Jackson of Millen, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie Morris Messex of Barnwell; stepdaughters, Heather (Scottie) Ray of Barnwell and Angela Ray of Augusta, Ga.; special daughter, Claudia Ray of Barnwell; one brother, James Messex of Statesboro, Ga; one nephew; five grandchildren ad several aunts, uncles and cousins.
