Robert C. “Bob” Germaux, 91, of Varnville, died Feb. 6, 2010 at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro after an extended illness.
Graveside funeral service was held Feb. 10, in the Varnville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly officiating. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of the arrangements. 
Mr. Germaux was born Nov. 9, 1918 in Glassmere, Penn. He was the son of the late Emil Joseph Germaux and Ora Stoyer Germaux. He was a flight officer in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He Germaux received an accounting degree from Robert Morris School of Business and was later employed by Westinghouse Electric as manager of financial control for more than 45 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Ruth Spencer Germaux.
Survivors include three children, Sue G. Russell of San Francisco, Calif., Richard T. (Becky) Germaux of Barnwell and Deborah G. (Alex) Saunders of Hampton and four grandchildren.
