Robert Henry Hardy
Robert Henry Hardy, 76, of Westminister, died Oct. 5, 2009 at Cottingham House.
Funeral service was held Oct. 9 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminister. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Sandifer Funeral Home of Westminister was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hardy was the son of the late Henry W. and Margaret Ann Turner Hardy. He was a native of Oconee County. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Oconee County sheriff's Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westminister, a member of the Men's adult Sunday school class and a veteran of the air force serving during the Korean Conflict. He was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Brent Hardy and a daughter, Pamela Renee Hardy.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie Cox Hardy of the home; one son, Barry Scott (Tammy) Hardy of Fair Play; two sisters, Mary H. (Freddie) Cothran and Betty Jewel McAlhaney, all of Williston and four grandchildren.
