Robert Wayne "Bobby" Crowl, 61, of Barnwell, died May 30, 2009 at the providence Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral service was held June 1 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with the Rev. Johnnie Bailey officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Crowl was born Sept. 7, 1947 in Selma, Ala. He was the son of the late Eddie Mae and Leonard Crowl. He was employed with Tri County Pallet Company in Barnwell -known as Palmetto Kid. He was predeceased by his first wife of 18 years, Annie Mae Crowl and his second wife of 18 years, Reba Crowl; grandson, Jonathan Cupp; granddaughter, Wanda Linly; stepson, Lloyd Padgett and two brothers, Gilbert Williams and Alvin Crowl.
Survivors include seven children, Loraine Axson of Bamberg, Johnny Cupp of Orangeburg, Tommy Cupp of Bamberg, Marty Carroll of Barnwell, Ben Cupp of Neeses, Debbie Linly of Norway and Reba Canaday of Norway; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial may be made to Norway Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
