Samuel Lewis Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Lewis Johnson, 51, of 209 Enid Street, Blackville, were held on Friday, December 30, 2011, at 2 P.M. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Lees, S.C., with the Reverend Freddie L. Wright, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Heritage Funeral Home of Allendale was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Samuel Lewis Johnson was born on December 25, 1959, to the late Mr. Richard, Sr., and Mrs. Bernice Murray Johnson in Barnwell County, S.C.   
Samuel Johnson received his early Christian upbringings at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lees, S.C. He was educated in the public schools of Blackville graduating from Blackville-Hilda High School on May 28, 1979.  
He was employed with Better Roads, Inc., of Lake Placid, Fla.
His parents and one brother, Richard Johnson Jr., all preceded him in death.
On Friday morning, December 23, 2011, Mr. Samuel Lewis Johnson peacefully departed this life surrounded by his family at his residence in Blackville, S.C.
The beautiful memories of “Moochie”, as he was affectionately known, will forever live in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: two children;  three brothers, John H. Johnson of Blackville, S.C., and Clay Curtis (Cordellia) Johnson and Isaiah Johnson, all of Aiken, S.C.;  one grandchild; two aunts: Mrs. Alfado B. (Coker) Hagood of Blackville, S.C. and Mrs. Mazie B. Hallingquest of Aiken, S.C.; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Doris Johnson of Supply, Va.; and  a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
