Thomas J. “Tom” Still, 84, of Barnwell died Feb. 24, 2010.
Funeral service was held Feb. 27 at First Baptist Church in Barnwell with the Revs. Lee Clamp and John Nixon officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Still was born on April 25, 1925 in Bamberg County. He was the son of the late John Heyward and Janie Lou Still Sr. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church and the adult men’s Sunday school class. He retired as an agent with Durham Life Insurance Co. with more than 34 years service. He was predeceased by a sister Myrl Still and a brother Martin Still.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Brice Still of Barnwell; two daughters, Deborah Elaine Still of North Charleston and Eileen Still (Brian) Looney of Barnwell; one son, Thomas J. “Jimmy” (Debbie) Still Jr. of North Charleston; two sisters, Peggy (Earl) Jackson of Hendersonville N.C. and Christobel Ayer of Ehrhardt; one brother, John H. (Geneva) Still of Barnwell; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren,
