Virginia Christiansen Main, 82, died May 11, 2010 in the Bamberg County Nursing Home.
Funeral service was held May 14 at the First Baptist Church of Olar with the Revs. Dr. Wayne Lovett and Thomas Terry officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mole Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
Mrs. Main was born Nov. 26, 1927 in Elko, Va. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen Jacobsen Christiansen. She was the wife of Jimmie Dyches Main. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olar where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a WMU member. Mrs. Main was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Kayla Stanley.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie D. Main of Olar; two daughters, Mary Ellen (Morris) Williams of Blackville and Patsy (Danny), all of Fairfax; two brothers, Albert (Virginia) Christiansen of Ashland, Va. and Charles Henry (Betty) Christiansen of Elko, Va.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
