Willis Edward "W.E." Walker, 73, of Barnwell, died Jan. 26, 2010 at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral service was held Jan. 29 in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Romie Martin officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. Mole Funeral of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Walker was born Sept. 1, 1936 in Lena. He was the son of the late Willie E. and Annie Lee Wood Walker. He was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church and the Harmony Masonic Lodge #17. He retired from the Barnwell Police Department as a lieutenant having served there 24 years. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnson Walker and a sister Mary W. Sease.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Still Walker of Barnwell; one brother, Joe (Ruth) Walker of Barnwell and several nieces and nephews.
