Dr. Annette Scott Albert, 83, died June 7, 2009 after an extended illness.

Frampton Mikell Harper

Frampton Mikell Harper, 69, of Rabun Gap, Ga. died June 6, 2009 following a long illness.
Memorial service was held June 13 at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Barber officiating. Burial was in Beaufort. Beck Funeral Home, Clayton, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.

Tommy Shane Still

Tommy Shane Still, 37, of Barnwell, died June 20, 2009.
Funeral service was held June 23 at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston. Burial services was held at a later date in Center Point Cemetery, Quitman, Ark. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Still was born in Allendale County. He was the son of Tommy Lee Still and Phyllis Jo Crider Bradshaw. He was a self employed carpenter and attended the Church of God in Blackville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Evedell Still and maternal grandmother, Shirley Crider.

Coleman Bazzle

Coleman Bazzle, 81, of Williston, died May 27, 2009.
Funeral service was held May 30 at Williston First Baptist Church with burial in the Williston Cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.

Ocie Jackson Brooks

Ocie Jackson Brooks, 80, of Williston, died May 25, 2009 after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held May 29 at Winfield Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Wootten officiating. Burial was in the Campfield Memorial Baptist Church in Ellenboro, N. C. with the Rev. Scott Huffman officiating. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Wayne "Bobby" Crowl

Robert Wayne "Bobby" Crowl, 61, of Barnwell, died May 30, 2009 at the providence Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral service was held June 1 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with the Rev. Johnnie Bailey officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg was in charge of the arrangements.

James Green

James Green, 75, died May 12, 2009.
Funeral service was held May 16 at St. Thomas Grove Baptist Church, Reynolds Road, Barnwell with the Rev. John Young officiating. Lebby Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Green was born March 4, 1934 in Dunbarton. He was the son of the late Silas Green and the late Elizabeth McCassling. He was a member of St. Thomas Grove Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Wallace.

Loraine Rose Lee, 87, of Barnwell, died June 1, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service was held June 4 at the Barnwell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joey McDonald officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell.

Bernice A. Geiger Minutolo

Bernice A. Geiger Minutolo , 86, of Clinton, died May 23.
Funeral service was held May 27 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Johnson City, Tenn. Followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, with burial at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Appalachian Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge of the arrangements.

Melissa Ilene Zissett Smith

Melissa Ilene Zissett Smith, 46, of Blackville, died May 28, 2009.
Funeral service was held May 31 at Folk funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with burial in the Blackville Cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born in Pompton Planins, N. J. She was the daughter of Linda Brown Stewart and the late Buford "Bo" Stewart. She was a member of Unity Baptist church. She worked at Burger King. She was predeceased by a nephew, Daryl Allan "DJ" Zissette Jr.

Tharon Jo Mason Sullenger

Tharon Jo Mason Sullenger, 86, of Barnwell, died May 28, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service was held May 30 at the Barnwell Presbyterian Church with the Revs. David Turner and Marianne Turner officiating. Burial was at the Hillcrest Abbey Cemetery, Savannah, Ga. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.

Andy Dale Brock

Andy Dale Brock, 37, of Martin, died May 15, 2009 at his residence.
Memorial service was held May 17 at Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell. Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Brock was born May 5, 1973 in Gastonia N.C. He was the son of Timothy Dale Brock and Margaretta Roper Sommers. He was a former employee with Wade's Repair and Pro-Pac International. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gastonia N.C.

Alice Elizabeth Carter Nurse

Alice Elizabeth Carter Nurse, 75, of Allendale, died May 13, 2009.
Funeral service was held May 17 at Happy Home Baptist Church, Allendale. Cave Funeral Services, Inc. of Allendale was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Nurse was the daughter of the late Ben and Rosa Drayton Carter.
Survivors include children, Ethel Simmons, Rosella Schurler, Miriam Jordan, Leroy George, Garnet, Alvan, Denzel and Clinton Nurse; one sister, Mildred Byrd; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

James Walker, died May 5, 2009.

Mr. Walker was the son of the late Sarah Walker Jenkins.
Survivors include his companion, Laura M. Gill and nieces and nephews.

Julius Guinyard

Julius Guinyard, of Jacksonville, Fla., died May 4, 2009.
Funeral service was held May 9 in the Woodlawn Presbyterian Church with J. W. Rigsby, officiated. Holmes-Glover-Solomon Funeral Directors, Inc. of Brentwood was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Guinyard was employed with the Jacksonville Recreation Department and retired after 25 years of service.

Mary Williams Hunter

Mary Williams Hunter, 54, died May 3, 2009 at the Barnwell County Hospital.
Funeral service was held May 9 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Lees, with the Rev. Freddie L. Wright officiating. Services were entrusted to Dash Funeral Home of Blackville (formerly Green's Funeral Home) was in charge of the arrangements.
