Grubbs family expresses extreme gratitude
The Grubbs clan would like to thank each person that has shown acts of kindness to our family by hosting and attending fundraisers and blood drives, donating items and monies, furnishing us with meals, showing love, keeping us in your thoughts and, most importantly, sending up many prayers for our family during one of the most difficult, yet humbling times in our lives.
Around 10:15 p.m. on February 5, 2016, our lives were changed forever when we received a phone call that at the time was our worst nightmare.
It since has made our family who we are today.
Romans 8:18 – “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
As we thank each one of you, we have to give God our most ultimate thank you! We have witnessed first-hand the endless love and mercy He has for His children. Todd is truly a walking miracle!
As most of you know, he was burned covering more than 60 percent of his body and the outlook wasn’t very good. Our awesome community along with hundreds to thousands of other family and friends began praying, and with each day we were able to witness the power behind those prayers.
There will never be enough words to express our gratitude for all that has been done for our family to help us cope with everyday life. We have seen the meaning of “true love”, for sure!
Today we celebrate over six months of progress in Todd’s recovery. He has come so far and each person reading this has had a hand in that progression. Psalms 145:18-19 – “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him. He also hears their cry and saves them.”
Our road is still a long one. Todd will undergo several more surgeries, physical and occupational therapy, and adjusting to our “new normal”. We, as a family, ask that your prayers continue to be with us and we continue to have much gratitude for each one that is lifted up!
We do wish that we could thank each person by name, but there is just way too many. There will continue to be updates from time to time via Facebook as to how God has touched our family and Todd’s progress.
Again, thanks to our “little community” and God for everything you all have done for our family! Isaiah 41:10 - “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
