Gadson family extends their appreciation

Dear Editor,

The Family of the late Deacon/Chief Luther “Luke” Gadson would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation, gratitude and many, many thanks for all acts of kindness shown during the time of his illness and timely death of our beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, mentor and friend.

Your prayers, visits, monetary gifts, food and all gestures of love shown us during this very difficult time in our lives will always be treasured in our hearts and mind.

A special thanks to the Barnwell Police and Sheriff’s Department for all services rendered.

To the entire Barnwell Fire Department and especially Chief Tony Dicks and Captain Jimmy Dyson who thought enough of Luke and the many years of devoted service to the community to have the American Flag raised in his honor over the entrance to the Barnwell Elementary School and Hospital Drive as the funeral procession passed on the way to Hope Memorial Park for his final place of rest.

The Allendale Police Department, Chief Sullivan, The Honorable Mayor, Ronnie Jackson, Town of Allendale Councilwomen/Councilmen and City Administrator, Dwayne Ennis for their presentation of the Beautiful “Resolution of Respect” Plaque in loving memory of Chief Luther “Luke” Gadson, the gentle giant that never met a stranger.

Sincerely,

The family of

Luther “Luke” Gadson
