Good Samaritan and paramedics were angels

Dear Editor:

Just a few weeks ago, I was in the Dollar General store in Williston shopping for a few items. I began to feel sick all of a sudden. I cried out to my husband and said to him something was wrong. The next thing I realized, I was on the floor and shaking really bad and couldn't see. My husband asked for help and for someone to call 911.

Hearing the cry for help, a lady in the store came over to him and said "I am an EMT" or something to that nature. He was so upset he didn't remember, but she came over and helped him with me until the ambulance arrived.

We don't remember her name, but I sure thank God she was there. My blood sugar had suddenly dropped and she was an angel to comfort me and my husband. Also, the EMT teams from Williston were angels as well.

If it had not been for the lady in the store that day and the EMTs coming to rescue me and comfort him I probably would not be alive today.

Thank God for people who have compassion for others even strangers. So, whoever you are I want you to know you have a very special place in my heart, because you helped greatly by giving your time and love to a stranger. Thank you for giving my husband his wife back and a grandmother back to her family.

I hope you know you will always have a special place in our hearts, also the EMTs team as well. May God bless you always and forever.

Sincerely,

Cindy R. Dyches,
Blackville
