Team members at the Barnwell SRP Federal Credit Union collected items to create “bunny cups” to deliver to residents at the Pruitt Healthcare Residential and Rehabilitation Center. Each cup contained lotions, chocolate candy, a plush bunny, and an Easter egg stress ball for the forty-four people who reside there and the patients at the facility for rehabilitation purposes.
The treats were delivered by staff members Victoria Gunnells, Rachael Neece, and Angela Cotton. The staff enjoyed their time visiting with everyone in the center as they made their Easter deliveries. The Social Director of the facility, Kerri Newsome, also gave SRP staff members a tour of the facility's gift shop which is open to the public where all items are creations made by the residents. The proceeds from the sales of the items provide entertainment and outings for those at Pruitt Healthcare, of which SRP employees were incredibly supportive.
“SRP is your local Credit Union, and we believe in serving our community,” says Eric Jenkins, CEO of SRP Federal Credit Union. “We are pleased to have staff that generously give to others year-round, but especially when they can brighten someone’s holiday. It reflects the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ which is a goal SRP strives to meet daily.”
