Clown Car

This past weekend the Barnwell playhouse (Circle Theatre) opened the first of its shows for its play “Clown Car,” a murder mystery where a myriad of clowns are all suspects. The play was engaging from beginning to end, and made me laugh in all the right places. The cast was well put together, and everyone shined on stage.

Lyn Palm was very impressive in her dual roles, one of which she played a mime who only communicated through the tooting of a horn. Most people will tell you that acting is just not in the lines that the actor delivers, but also in their movements and their mannerisms. As the mime Dahlia, Palm was able to create an interesting character with just the power of her facial expressions and her body language. She was perfect for playing the mime.
