BARNWELL - Mrs. Jeannette F. Walker, (known to her family and loved ones as Mumpsy), 84, passed away peacefully on 8/23/24 at her residence. She was born on 2/12/40 in Colleton County, S.C. to Blanchard Fennell and Doris Clara Polk Fennell.
Mrs. Walker was a former textile and garment factory machinist and homemaker. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Mrs. Walker's passion was taking care of her family and friends with an enormous heart and a loving smile. Her most cherished times were family get-togethers that always had plenty of conversation and food prepared for everyone to enjoy. A generous soul who always put everyone's needs in front of her own.
She is survived by her son, John Owen Walker Jr. (Kimberly) of Clarks Hill, S.C.; daughter, Joyce McCoy (Ellis) of Beldoc, S.C.; brother, Howard Fennell; sisters, Edna Rose, Patsy Hawks, Linda Key, Violet Weathersbee, and Dottie Zielinski; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, John Owen Walker Sr.; daughter, Joenett Campbell; brothers, Lonnie Fennell and Billy Fennell; as well as her sister, Laverne Fennell.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Mole Funeral Home, with funeral services following in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Graveside will follow at Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery.
