Mrs. Addie Evelyn “Abbo” Moody celebrated her 106th birthday on September 24, 2026.
Born in 1920 to the late Anion Joe and Addie Grubbs Bonds, Mrs. Moody grew up in Hilda with seven siblings. After marrying Ralph W. Moody, a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II, she moved to the Kline area. She later became a resident of PruittHealth Barnwell following his death.
Mrs. Moody has long been connected to Reedy Branch Baptist Church. At the time of her 102nd birthday celebration in 2022, she was recognized as its oldest living member.
Her 106th birthday marks a remarkable milestone and an opportunity to celebrate a life rooted in family, faith and the Barnwell County community.
