The Barnwell Bombers 9u AAA were the runners-up in the Perfect Game Statesboro Showdown May 4-5 in Statesboro, Ga.
Out of the six competing teams, the Barnwell Bombers came in second.
“They absolutely played their butts off and with so much adversity they took the championship to two extra innings! I am so unbelievably proud of how these boys fought and gave us everything they had! They represented our little town to the fullest. The 6 teams that were in it were all very good teams,” said Coach Chris Yancey.
