BLACKVILLE - Betty Marie McCoy, 76, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 12, 2025 after fighting a number of different diagnoses, with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 9, 1948 to the late Ralph Hutto and Fannie H. Wannamaker.
She was such a fighter and loved by her family. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was known as Mema. Everyone who met her adopted her as their Mema too. She had such a way of making you love her. Betty had such a love for animals, especially her dog Weasel.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Diane Marchant (Herman Marchant) and Ruth Wanamaker; daughter, Angie Liddle (Bart Liddle); sons, Ricky McCoy (Jean McCoy) and Robert Moody; granddaughters, Nellie Kirkland (Clint Kirkland) and Logan Liddle; great-grandchildren, Madalynn Liddle, Everleigh Liddle, Noah Liddle, Nicolas Liddle, Kirk Kirkland, Piper Kirkland, Gracelynn Liddle, and Lily Liddle.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Grover McCoy; and her favorite grandson, Dwayne Liddle.
A visitation will be held on January 16, 2025 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Mole Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Phillip Renew will be officiating. Graveside will be held at Siloam Methodist Church Cemetery.
