BARNWELL - Janie Oglesby Boyles, 76, of Barnwell, S.C. passed away on March 14th, 2025.

She was born on January 4th, 1949 and was the daughter of Sarah Inez Oglesby. She graduated from Bells High School. She worked many years at Chem Nuclear and Barnwell Family Medicine. She was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church, where she got great at doing the church bulletins for over 40 years. Her kindness and love touched everyone who knew her. She had a warm smile and gentle spirit that radiated love and compassion.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lissa Boyles Black (Reynolds) and Tina Boyles O’Brien (Dickson); grandchildren Ashley Black Graves (John), Tiffany Black, Justin O’Brien, Harrison O’Brien, Will Cato, Tori Boyles Blankenship (Evan), Katie Boyles; as well as her great-grandchildren, Palmer Graves and Brantford Blankenship.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Boyles Jr., and her son, Edward Boyles (Bubba) Boyles III.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Siloam United Methodist Church, with graveside to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. Rev. Michael Hood will be officiating.
