WILLISTON - Funeral services for Larry Lamar Lingould, 75, of Williston, S.C. will be held at 3 o’clock p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Rosemary Baptist Church with the Reverend Dan Fogle officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport with U.S. Navy rites accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Benjamin Anderson, Doug Bragg, Travis Elliott, Todd Erman, Buck Handberry, Gerald Moore, and Larry Mullet.

He passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Amber Brown for all of the love, care, and concern that she has shown Larry.

Born in Milledgeville, Ga., he was a son of the late Alton Lingould and Vergie Louise Benton Lingould and was married to Geraldine Anne Lingould. He was a Pipe Fitting Superintendent who retired in 2017 from Fluor Daniel Corporation after working over 50 years. Larry enjoyed traveling, fishing, and playing golf. Riding on his tractor was a peaceful pastime for him. He lived life to the fullest; he had many friends and a great deal of family that he loved spending time with; he especially enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. His friends and family will miss him deeply. Larry also loved Suri, his Alaskan Spitz.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Geraldine Anne Lingould of the home; daughters, Brandi L. Handberry (James) of Barnwell, S.C.; Alicia (Bobby) Jordan of Blackville, S.C., and Lacey Lingould (Jake Anderson) of Williston, S.C.; a son, Ty McBride (Shannon) of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Kylan Handberry, Leah Anderson, Seger Jordan, Brynn Anderson, Mason McBride and Laney McBride; a sister, Mary Beth Branham; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Ann-Martinson and Peggy Hogg; and a brother, Clyde Lingould.
