To our Barnwell County Communities:
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Barnwell County, we continue to be blessed each year with the generous support of our community during our annual Secret Santa project. As one of the major holiday projects in our area, the Rotary Club of Barnwell County provides toys to children whose families are impacted by poverty, unemployment, and difficult times. This program has been part of our community for almost 30 years, and we could not have done it without your continued support.
The Department of Social Services partners with our organization to screen each applicant and provides our Club with a Christmas wish list for those children, aged two to ten, which are eligible for this service.
We now want to reach out to our community members to seek sponsors for the Secret Santa project. Sponsoring a child means purchasing toys for the children and spending about $75 per child. If you are able to spend more than $75 per child, we ask that you please sponsor more than one child. We will provide you with a “wish list” for the child, and the sponsor can come as close to the child’s “wish list” as they are able. We ask that the gifts not include clothes or expensive electronics please.
We thank you in advance for considering to assist with this year’s Secret Santa project. Volunteering allows us to connect within our community and make it a better place, and even helping out in small ways can make a real difference to the lives of our county’s children.
