Dear Editor,
This week Barnwell lost one of the finest Christian gentlemen it was ever my privilege to know.
Chief Buddy hired me at the Barnwell Police Department in 2002 and for 22 years it’s been my honor to call him my dear friend.
Although I will forever miss him, I can only smile at the thought of the joyous reunion he’s had with his twin brother Ed as he entered the Pearly Gates.
To Mrs. Darnell, the girls and the grandkids, may you be comforted in the assurance that although you’ve lost this wonderful man, his love for you still lives and one day you can see him again on the streets of gold.
