AIKEN - Heaven’s flower garden is about to get a lot brighter as Mrs. Mary Ann Sizemore has joined the ranks of Heaven’s gardening club. She walked through the gates of glory and into the arms of her Lord and Savior just after noon on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Funeral services for Mary Ann Seigler Sizemore, 90, of Aiken, S.C. will be held at 2 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Central Baptist Church, 1652 Wire Rd., Aiken, S.C. with the Reverends Buddy Brinkley, Mike Catoe, and Lee Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be grandsons Jesse Fulmer, Dillon Thompson, Elijah Pleming, Bishop Simon, Clint Sizemore and Naudica Barton.
Born in Aiken, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Wyman Elijah Seigler and Lucy Sanders Seigler and was married to the late Reverend Olin Sizemore. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and previously worked for the U.S. Postal Service. She was an avid lover of flowers, cooking, playing games, Bluegrass festivals, Mexican food, telling stories and having fun, but Mary Ann Sizemore loved her Lord Jesus and her family more than anything.
In her younger years as a pastor’s wife, she supported her husband as they served their Lord together in different churches in South Georgia, Augusta, and parts of South Carolina.  Mary Ann also served with Girls in Action (GAs), Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), youth activities and various other church ministries.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Danny) Thompson; sons, James (Jackie) Sizemore and David (Angie) Sizemore, all of Aiken; her sisters, Martha Anderson of Dothan, AL and Lois (Nolan) Hardeman of Aiken, S.C.;  a son-in-law, Freddie Fulmer of Aiken; a sister-in-law, Jean Seigler of Prosperity, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Ann Fulmer; two grandsons, Scott Sizemore and Ted Sbardella; two sisters, Alice (Emery) Whitlock and Sallie Mae (Vernon) Cawley; brothers, Raymond Seigler and Claude (Betty) Seigler; and a brother-in-law, Reverend John Anderson.

The family would like to acknowledge with deepest gratitude the compassionate care given to their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother by the loving staffs of Trinity on Laurens, The Place at Shadow Oaks and Empyrean Hospice.
Flowers are appreciated due to her love of flowers, or donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, S.C. 29169 or to Central Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1652 Wire Road, Aiken, S.C. 29805.
