A missing juvenile runaway has been located and is safe, according to law enforcement.
On Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 30 around 3:30 p.m., Barnwell Police Chief Michael Butts announced that Zer''niya Eur'monie Russaw, age 12, had been located. This followed an announcement earlier in the day that the Barnwell Police Department was seeking the public's help in locating Russaw, who was last seen Monday night, Dec. 29 at her residence in the City of Barnwell.
"She has been located. We thank everyone for their help," said Chief Butts, who did not comment on where she was located.
At the time of her disappearance, officers believed she was possibly in a white in color Toyota Camry sedan with a headlight out that was seen in the area.
The case is still being investigated, said Chief Butts.
